> The Grande Cascade
At 30 metres high, the Grande Cascade is one of the Auvergne's highest waterfalls.
You can discover this site on a walk of approximately 1.5h.
Once you arrive at the top of the plateau, there is a magnificent view over the Puy de Sancy, the Pic du Capucin and the valley of the Upper Dordogne.
> The Waterfall Circuit at Le Mont-Dore
The Queureuilh, Rossignolet and Saut du Loup waterfalls are the gems of a ramble :'The Waterfall Circuit'. In this area, water is queen and flows all around you. (about 1.5 hours in length)
- The 20-metre high Cascade du Queureuilh flows down basalt columns.
- The Cascade du Rossignolet is a calcium formation, pouring forth the water from the Ruisseau de l'Enfer which eventually flows into the Dordogne.
- The 17-metre high Cascade du Saut du Loup, is particularly visible at the end of winter, when the snows melt.
> The Cascade d'Egliseneuve d'Entraigues
The 18-metre high Cascade d'Entraigues lies in a valley, surrounded by lush bracken and beech trees.
A 20-minute round trip gives access to the site.
