A route that combines mountains, gorges and hedged farmland, and is dotted with breathtaking vistas! Ideal for combining sport and pleasure.

The route takes in forests, the Avèze gorges and the open plateaux of the Combrailles.
The last 10 km after Le Mont-Dore require good effort management to complete the loop.
Bonus: panoramic views of the Puys and the Massif du Sancy, particularly at the Col de Guéry.

Étape 1 : The descent to the Combrailles (km 0 to 30).The start is at La Stèle (commune of La Tour-d’Auvergne). The start of the route is generally downhill and rolling, passing through Tauves (km 14) before crossing the village of Avèze (km 21).

Étape 2 : The plateau loop (km 30 to 75).After leaving the main road to Bourg-Lastic, you enter a more rural, undulating section through bocage countryside:Passage through Saint-Sulpice and Briffons.Pass through Tortebesse (km 48) and the hamlet of l’Eclache.Head for Heume-l’Église (km 64) before descending to Rochefort-Montagne.

Étape 3 : The return to the summits (km 75 to 111).This is the most demanding part of the tour, with the return to the Massif du Sancy:The ascent to the Col de Guéry: From Rochefort-Montagne, the road climbs steadily towards this iconic viewpoint (km 82).Le Mont-Dore: A long section leads to the spa town of Le Mont-Dore (km 101).The finale: The route ends with a final, sustained climb to leave Le Mont-Dore and head for La Tour-d’Auvergne to reach the starting point at La Stèle.
