In Chassagne, a detour can be made to discover the Cistercian abbey of Mégemont.
Then on to La Godivelle: a peat bog with a rich flora (Lac d’En-Bas) and a superb crater lake (Lac d’En-Haut), perfectly circular.
You’ll skirt Lac de Bourdouze before reaching the medieval town of Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise, with its Romanesque church, narrow streets and gray stone houses with slate roofs.
The descent to Murol offers exceptional panoramic views.
