Lakes, volcanoes, nature reserves, ancient or medieval architecture – the variety of landscapes in the Puy-de-Dôme will leave you breathless during this 8-day hike! You’ll cross wild, unspoilt landscapes rich in geological history and civilisation, surrounded by exceptional flora and fauna.
The GR® 4 requires at least two months to complete in its entirety, taking in a remarkable natural heritage such as the Verdon gorges, the Ventoux massif, the Ardèche gorges, the Cantal volcanoes and the Auvergne lakes.

Dogs must be kept on a leash. Dogs are common in the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Park. However, dogs are strictly forbidden in the Chastreix-Sancy Nature Reserve.
