Étape 1 : Leave the village by walking along the D640 towards Saignes and take the first left 800 m further on.
Étape 2 : At the end of the track, turn left, go straight on and at the foot of the puy d’Alou, turn right to cross the field. Warning: from this point onwards, dogs must be kept on a leash due to the presence ofdue to the presence of herds. Continue straight on, through the gate and up to the summit of Puy d’Alou.
Étape 3 : After the megaliths, begin the descent of the puy. Turn left through the gate. Continue along the fence and across the field to the track below. Turn left on this track.
Étape 4 : At the intersection with the D145, cross the road and continue straight ahead. Turn left on the first track, then right 600 m further on.
Étape 5 : At the intersection with the D640, turn left along the road. You’ll pass the Chapelle Sainte Marguerite sparkling spring. Continue towards the village of Le Vernet.
Étape 6 : At the entrance to the village, turn right into Rue des Jardins, then cross Rue d’Olloix. Turn right to pass between the church and the adjacent building. Turn left into the street behind the church until you reach the start sign.
