Étape 1 : From the start sign, take the D618 towards Jassat for 130 m, then turn left, following the main track which leads to the D5. After 120 m, turn right down the track, cross a stream and continue to the right. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead until you reach the road.

Étape 2 : Turn right, then left onto the D619 (view of Murol château). At the bend in the road, fork left onto a wide track leading to the Bessolles plateau. At the crossroads, go straight ahead, past the antennae, then round the puy de Bessolles. At the intersection (view of the Puy de Dôme, the Sancy and the Cézallier) go straight on for 170 m and then down the left-hand path “en rétrograde”. Cross the hamlet and climb up to La Roche Romaine (panorama).

Étape 3 : Go left. On the way down, ignore a path on the left. The path winds through the Groire woods. At the end of the forest, at the bottom of the valley, leave a path to the left and cross the hamlet of Groire (communal oven). Cross the stream and take the second road on the right to the D146.

Étape 4 : Continue along the track opposite. At the crossroads, turn left and continue along the asphalt road, keeping to the right. Cross the bridge over the Couze Chambon, then turn left, cross the Couze Chambon again and turn right. Pass to the left of the church, cross Place Léon Boudal, enter the alleyway, turn right and climb Rue du Jassaguet, which takes you back to the starting point.
