Discover the funicular

La Bourboule

From 3 July 2024

The Fun Rail Association invites you to discover one of the jewels in the crown of La Bourboule’s heritage, the water-balanced funicular railway that linked the town to the Charlannes plateau between 1902 and 1958.
An exhibition tracing the history of the funicular and explaining how it worked. Meet at the departure station at 10 avenue du Général Pershing, 100 m opposite the Parc Fenestre car park. Take Avenue de Charlannes before the fire station.
