The Sylvatorium is a sensory experience trail in the Capucin Forest.Slow down, breathe, and feel: come discover the benefits of trees.France’s first forest trail.

This themed trail is a true sensory journey that serves as an introduction to forest therapy in the Capucin Forest.
The trail is designed to help visitors discover the benefits of trees and the forest through a relaxing and educational experience.
Five forest spas, two lookout points, and a relaxation area are located along the trail to help you experience the full wellness potential of the Capucin Forest.
All five senses are engaged in the dedicated “forest spas”—large wooden tubs where visitors can freely experience the scents, light, colors, and sounds of the forest.
Whether lying down or sitting in each of the nine spas, you can immerse yourself in the forest—with your sense of smell, inhaling the essential oils of fir or spruce; with your sense of hearing, listening to birdsong; with your eyes in the soft light as you observe the green and yellow hues of the undergrowth, or with your hands touching a fir tree to reconnect with nature.

The Sylvatorium is a one-kilometer themed trail with no elevation gain, allowing you to enjoy a deep breath of fresh air—soothing or invigorating—that is undoubtedly rejuvenating.

As numerous studies have shown, the benefits of this forest walk are measurable. In particular, it helps lower our cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and reduce our blood pressure.
Similarly, we can now measure the amount of electrical particles in the air (ionization), and we know that forest air is electrically neutral, whereas our cities and homes are saturated with positive ions (from electrical and computer equipment), which has a significant impact on our health (migraines, irritations, etc.).
Finally, air quality is much better here than in urban areas, since the main pollutants—VOCs (volatile organic compounds)—are a hundred times less prevalent here in the forest than in the city.

Educational signs on forest therapy will teach you everything about trees and the well-being they provide. A restorative forest bath—to be enjoyed alone or with your family, with no restrictions!
