In Vernet Sainte-Marguerite, you don’t know where to look for! The Massif du Sancy on one side, the Chaine des Puy on the other side, come and enjoy wonderful landscapes.
The Vernet Sainte-Marguerite is a small town between the Massif du Sancy and the Chaine des Puys. Its location is ideal to catch sight of beautiful landscapes over the Chaine des puys on one side and the Monts-Dore on the other side.
If you take the trail number GR30 and go around Auvergne’s lakes, you can do a small break in Vernet Sainte-Marguerite!
The Vernet Sainte-Marguerite Church was built in the 12th century with Monne and Mareuge chapels situated a few kilometers away, they are inescapable stops.
You could also go the block houses, typical from the traditional way of living in Auvergne, formerly it sheltered under the same roof inhabitants, animals and hay. You can stop at the “couderc” this municipal and public place is amazing with its bread oven and fountain.
Take the road for Saint-Nectaire (D640), you will discover a nice chapel with Lauze roofs, Pit also shelters a gas spring called Sainte-Marguerite.
