The Mont-Dore ski resort opens every day from the end of December until April, depending on snow cover. Ski patrollers are on hand every day from 9am to 5pm.

The couloirs, with alpine accents, will delight the freeriders. Be careful, ask the ski patrols and the Police Mountain Squad before any off-piste descent in Le Mont-Dore. As in any mountain area, the risk of avalanche is sometimes pronounced in the Sancy.
