Want to be prepared for your winter sports holiday and enjoy total peace of mind? Consult our checklist to make sure you don’t forget anything. You can of course leave all the arrangements to the last minute but, if you want a stress-free holiday in the mountains, it’s best to come prepared. Here are a few practical tips for organising your holiday and enjoying it to the full. In addition to this non-exhaustive list, you probably have your own organisation secrets.
Take your pick from a wide range of accommodation for a pleasant stay in Sancy. A spacious family gîte, a hotel or guestroom for you and your partner, a holiday village... There’s something to suit every preference and budget.
For the best possible choice, we highly recommend that you book your skiing lessons well ahead of your holiday. Make life simple by booking online. Remember to bring your children’s progress booklets if they’ve had skiing lessons in previous years.
There are childcare centres in the resort villages. Your children will make new friends while you enjoy some time to yourself.
Book the childcare as soon as possible
To save time once you arrive, book your skis, ski boots, helmets and other equipment online
To make the most of your day, buy or top-up your ski pass online.
Bring warm clothes adapted to the snow: anorak, hat, gloves, ski suit, sunglasses or mask, sun cream, and a bathing suit for a wellness break.
Bring snow tires or snow chains, a snow shovel, a snow broom, a scraper... Practice mounting the chains to avoid stopping too long on the side of the road.
Also remember to check the road conditions before you leave, as traffic conditions can change quickly.
